Studies on Some Organoboron Complexes of Semicarbazones and Thiosemicarbazones

Reactions of 2-isopropoxy-1,3,2-dithioborole with the semicarbazones and thiosemicarbazones derived by the condensation of benzaldehyde, salicylaldehyde, o-hydroxyacetophenone and phenyl methyl ketone with semicarbazide or thiosemicarbazide in different molar ratios give a new series of organoboron complexes.The ligands behave as monobasic bidentate or bibasic tridentate species coordinating through, O, N or S to the central boron atom.The resulting complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight determinations, conductance measurements and IR, 1H NMR and 11B NMR spectral studies.
