UBP310 is a selective antagonist of the ionotropic glutamate receptor 5 (GluR5 or GluK1) with a dissociation constant (Kd) of 130 nM. It exhibits weaker binding affinity for GluR2 (GluA2) and GluR6 (GluK2) with Kds of 106 and 1,626 μM, respectively. Importantly, UBP310 does not show activity at metabotropic GluR group I and NMDA receptors, making it a specific modulator of the GluK1 receptor.
