Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 90474-79-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,0,4,7 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 90474-79:
(7*9)+(6*0)+(5*4)+(4*7)+(3*4)+(2*7)+(1*9)=146
146 % 10 = 6
So 90474-79-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Au-catalyzed reaction of propargylic sulfides and dithioacetals

Peng, Lingling,Zhang, Xiu,Zhang, Shiwei,Wang, Jianbo

, p. 1192 - 1197 (2007/10/03)

(Chemical Equation Presented) Propargylic sulfides and dithioacetals are found to undergo similar transformations as propargylic carboxylates when catalyzed by AuCl or AuCl3, affording indene derivatives through pentannulation of aromatic rings

Indenyl compounds and catalyst components for the polymerization of olefins

-

, (2008/06/13)

The invention relates to an indenyl compound of the general formula in which the symbols have the following meanings: Ind: an indenyl group R': a substituent, other than hydrogen, to the Ind group, Cp: a cyclopentadienyl group M: a transition metal from group 3, 4, 5 or 6 of the Periodic System of Elements Q: a ligand to M and k is an integer linked to the valence of M. The invention is characterized in that the R' group is bound to the Ind group at the 2-position. The indenyl compound is a catalyst component for the polymerization of olefins. The invention also relates to polymers obtainable with such indenyl compounds.

Clay Catalysis: A Simple and Efficient Synthesis of Enolthioethers from Cyclic Ketones

Labiad, Bouchta,Villemin, Didier

, p. 143 - 144 (2007/10/02)

Montmorillonite KSF in refluxing toluene catalyses the synthesis of 1-alkyl- and 1-arylthioalkenes from ketones and thiols (thiophenol or 1-butanethiol).

Attempted Preparation of Sulfonioindenides

Hartke, Klaus,Schilling-Pindur, Annegret

, p. 552 - 563 (2007/10/02)

3-(Methylthio)indene (13), obtained from lithium 1-indenide (10) and dimethyl disulfide (11), reacts with methyl iodide to form truxene (14) and with methyl fluorosulfonate to form 2-(3-indenyl)-3-(methylthio)indene (16).Nucleophilic substitution of 1-chloro-2,3-dimethyl-5,6-(methylenedioxy)indene (22) with thiolates allows the isolation of the thioethers 23A/23B, which were alkylated with trialkyloxonium salts to give the stable sulfonium tetrafluoroborates 24.Deprotonation of 24 leads to extensive decomposition. The thioethers 28 have been prepared from 2-indanone (26).Their alkylation leads to the formation of (2-indenyl)sulfonium tetrafluoroborates 29.Deprotonation of 29a yields 2-(dimethylsulfonio)indenide (6), characterized by NMR spectroscopy.
