Reactions of N-sulphinylaniline (NSA) with some transition metal ions and complexes have been studied. The complexes, , , , , , , , , , , and (NO3) have been characterised on the basis of elemental analyses, IR and electronic spectral, magnetic and conductivity measurements.N-sulphinylaniline acts as monodentate and is bonded through its nitrogen atom.Tentative geometries of the complexes have been proposed.
