Synthesis of some long-chain aromatic hydrocarbons (I-IV) from 10-undecen-1-al by tandem phenylation-reduction and their conversion into different derivates (V-XL) have been described.The compounds have been tested to common Indian red cotton bug (Dysdercus koenigii fabricus) for their JH activity.
