"W(CO)5(SCC(C6H5)C(C6H5)SS)" is a complex organometallic compound consisting of a tungsten (W) atom at its center, surrounded by five carbonyl (CO) ligands. The compound also features a unique chelating ligand, which is a sulfur-containing group that wraps around the central metal atom. This ligand is composed of a sulfur atom (S), a carbon atom (C) bonded to a phenyl group (C6H5), another carbon atom (C) also bonded to a phenyl group, and a disulfide bridge (SS) connecting the two sulfur atoms. The overall structure of the compound is characterized by its metal-carbon and metal-sulfur bonds, which contribute to its stability and reactivity. This type of compound is of interest in the field of organometallic chemistry, particularly for its potential applications in catalysis and materials science.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 92141-55-4 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,2,1,4 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 92141-55:
(7*9)+(6*2)+(5*1)+(4*4)+(3*1)+(2*5)+(1*5)=114
114 % 10 = 4
So 92141-55-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis and structural characterization of heterocyclic thiocarbene, selenocarbene, thione, and selone complexes of tungsten pentacarbonyl or chromium pentacarbonyl

Raubenheimer, Helgard G.,Kruger, Gert J.,Marais, Charles F.,Otte, Ronald,Hattingh, Johannes T. Z.

, p. 1853 - 1858 (2008/10/08)

Various pentacarbonyl complexes of W and Cr containing heterocyclic ligands were prepared from the synthon formed by the addition of PhC≡CXLi (X = S or Se) to carbene complexes [M(CO)5{(C(OEt)Ph}] (M = Cr, W). The nature of the electrophile (S or Se) that was added, as well as the temperature at which the reaction was carried out, determined whether the synthon acted mainly as an anionic thio- or selenocarbene complex to give rise to carbene complexes [W(CO)5L] (L = CC(Ph)=C(Ph)SeS, CC(Ph)-=C(Ph)SSe, CC(Ph)=C (Ph)SeSe) or as a thio- or selenoacyl anion to form thione or selone complexes [Cr(CO)5{S=CC(Ph)=C(Ph)SS}] and [W(CO)5L] (L = S=CC(Ph)=C(Ph)SS, Se=CC(Ph)=C(Ph)SS, Se=CC(Ph)=C(Ph)SeSe).

Synthesis of Different Thione Complexes from Pentacarbonyl-α-ethoxybenzylidenetungsten and Lithium Phenylethynethiolate

Raubenheimer, Helgard G.,Kruger, G. J.,Marais, Charles F.

, p. 634 - 635 (2007/10/02)

The adduct between pentacarbonyl-α-ethoxybenzylidenetungsten and lithium phenylethynethiolate is a promising nucleophilic reagent for the preparation of a variety of compounds such as tungsten co-ordinated 2,3-diphenyl-3-ethoxypropenethial (1), 4,5-diphen
