92144-30-4 Usage

Uses

Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
2,4-diamino-N-methyl-N-phenylquinazoline-6-sulfonamide is used as a potential anti-cancer agent for its ability to inhibit dihydrofolate reductase, a key enzyme in DNA and RNA synthesis. This inhibition can disrupt the rapid cell division observed in cancer cells, making it a candidate for the development of new cancer treatments.
Additionally, it is used as a potential anti-bacterial agent due to its ability to target and inhibit essential enzymes in bacterial metabolism, which can lead to the development of new antibiotics to combat resistant bacterial strains.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 92144-30-4 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,2,1,4 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 92144-30:
(7*9)+(6*2)+(5*1)+(4*4)+(3*4)+(2*3)+(1*0)=114
114 % 10 = 4
So 92144-30-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Folate antagonists. 22. Antimalarial and antibacterial effects of 2,4-diamino-6-quinazolinesulfonamides

Elslager,Colbry,Davoll,Hutt,Johnson,Werbel

, p. 1740 - 1743 (2007/10/02)

The synthesis and antimalarial activity of a series of 2,4-diamino-6-quinazolinesulfonamides is described. Chlorosulfonation of 2,4-quinazolinediamine affords the 6-sulfonyl chloride, which upon treatment with the appropriate amine produces the desired products. Alternatively the sulfonyl chloride could be introduced by diazotization of the corresponding amine followed by treatment with SO2 in the presence of CuCl2. Although substantial antimalarial activity was demonstrated for several members of this class, studies were discontinued in light of the potency of related series.
