"W(CO)5(CC(C6H5)C(C6H5)SeSe)" is a complex organometallic compound consisting of a tungsten (W) atom at its center, surrounded by five carbonyl (CO) ligands. The compound features a unique bidentate ligand, which is a selenium-containing cyclohexyl group (C6H5) attached to a carbon atom (C), forming a C-C bond. This bidentate ligand is further connected to the tungsten atom through two selenium atoms, creating a chelating effect. The presence of the phenyl groups (C6H5) in the ligand provides stability and contributes to the overall structure of the molecule. W(CO)5(CC(C6H5)C(C6H5)SeSe) is of interest in the field of organometallic chemistry, particularly for its potential applications in catalysis and material science.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 92180-83-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,2,1,8 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 92180-83:
(7*9)+(6*2)+(5*1)+(4*8)+(3*0)+(2*8)+(1*3)=131
131 % 10 = 1
So 92180-83-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis and structural characterization of heterocyclic thiocarbene, selenocarbene, thione, and selone complexes of tungsten pentacarbonyl or chromium pentacarbonyl

Raubenheimer, Helgard G.,Kruger, Gert J.,Marais, Charles F.,Otte, Ronald,Hattingh, Johannes T. Z.

, p. 1853 - 1858 (2008/10/08)

Various pentacarbonyl complexes of W and Cr containing heterocyclic ligands were prepared from the synthon formed by the addition of PhC≡CXLi (X = S or Se) to carbene complexes [M(CO)5{(C(OEt)Ph}] (M = Cr, W). The nature of the electrophile (S or Se) that was added, as well as the temperature at which the reaction was carried out, determined whether the synthon acted mainly as an anionic thio- or selenocarbene complex to give rise to carbene complexes [W(CO)5L] (L = CC(Ph)=C(Ph)SeS, CC(Ph)-=C(Ph)SSe, CC(Ph)=C (Ph)SeSe) or as a thio- or selenoacyl anion to form thione or selone complexes [Cr(CO)5{S=CC(Ph)=C(Ph)SS}] and [W(CO)5L] (L = S=CC(Ph)=C(Ph)SS, Se=CC(Ph)=C(Ph)SS, Se=CC(Ph)=C(Ph)SeSe).

Synthesis of Different Thione Complexes from Pentacarbonyl-α-ethoxybenzylidenetungsten and Lithium Phenylethynethiolate

Raubenheimer, Helgard G.,Kruger, G. J.,Marais, Charles F.

, p. 634 - 635 (2007/10/02)

The adduct between pentacarbonyl-α-ethoxybenzylidenetungsten and lithium phenylethynethiolate is a promising nucleophilic reagent for the preparation of a variety of compounds such as tungsten co-ordinated 2,3-diphenyl-3-ethoxypropenethial (1), 4,5-diphen
