(Chemical Equation Presented) C-F bond activation: In the presence of a phosphane, deactivation of cationic zirconium complexes can occur by direct fluoride migration to the zirconium center, that is, the breaking of a C-F bond - the strongest bond of organic molecules - without previous C6F 5 transfer to the metal atom (see picture).
