2,5-Dihydroxyphenylthioniacycloalkane salts were synthesized in a single stage by the reaction of quinone with cyclic sulfides.The crystal structures of 2,5-dihydroxyphenylthianium perchlorate and chloride hydrate were investigated by x-ray crystallographic analysis and IR spectroscopy.
