92609-92-2 Usage
Uses
16:0 Phosphatidylbutanol or 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphobutanol (sodium salt) has been used to analyze the in vivo activity of phospholipase D (PLD) in Taxus cuspidate using liquid chromatography electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometric (LC/ESI-MS/MS).
General Description
Phosphatidylbutanol is a low polarity phospholipid, which can be produced by phospholipase D (PLD) specific transphosphatidylation reaction of phosphatidylcholine (PC) and butanol.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Phosphatidylbutanol is used as a biomarker in phospholipase D activity assays.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 92609-92-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,2,6,0 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 92609-92:
(7*9)+(6*2)+(5*6)+(4*0)+(3*9)+(2*9)+(1*2)=152
152 % 10 = 2
So 92609-92-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis and Characterization of Some Acid Phospholipids with Alkyl Head Groups
Kertscher, H.-P.,Gawrisch, K.,Brezesinski, G.
, p. 150 - 153 (2007/10/02)
The acid phospholipids with different long alkyl head groups were prepared total synthetically by direct phosphorylation with phosphorus oxychloride as well as partial synthetically by transphosphorylation with phospholipase D.The characterization was provided by 13C-NMR-spectroscopy, elementary analytically as well as by the phase behaviour, that was determined optically and calorimetrically. The conversion temperatures decrease with increasing number of methylene groups with alkyl head groups systematically, but the conversion enthalpies increases with growing head group length. The conversion temperatures of the phospholipids with perdeuterium head groups don't correspond with their labelled analogues.
