Structural analogs of PAF-acether I. Rac-acetyloxydocosyl phosphorylcholines

Two analogs of PAF-acether, the acetyloxydocosyl phosphorylcholines, are synthesized in two different ways. They are screened for their biological activities in comparison with PAF-acether. The aggregant and desensitizing activities on washed rabbit platelets are weak. In vivo, hypotensive and bronchoconstrictive activities are suppressed and the two analogs do not have an antagonistic effect against PAF-acether activities. They also have very weak activity on increased plasma protein extravasation.
