The present invention relates to a quinoid-based ionic compound, a method for preparing the same, and a near-infrared ray-blocking film comprising the quinoid-based ionic compound. According to the present invention, the quinoid-based ionic compound can efficiently block a near-infrared ray due to high transmittance in a visible ray region and high absorbance in a near-infrared ray region, can be easily prepared into a thin film due to high solubility in an organic solvent, and can maintain high heat-resistant and high moisture-resistant properties in a thin film state for a long time due to excellent affinity with a polymer.
