Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 93372-16-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,3,3,7 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 93372-16:
(7*9)+(6*3)+(5*3)+(4*7)+(3*2)+(2*1)+(1*6)=138
138 % 10 = 8
So 93372-16-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Efficient masking of corrosion and fission products such as Ni(II) and Pd(II) in the presence of the minor actinide Am(III) using hydrophilic anionic or cationic bis-triazines

Lewis, Frank W.,Harwood, Laurence M.,Hudson, Michael J.,Müllich, Udo,Geist, Andreas

supporting information, p. 9189 - 9192 (2015/06/08)

Water soluble anionic and cationic bis-triazine ligands are able to suppress (mask) the extraction of corrosion and fission products such as Ni(II) and Pd(II) that are found in PUREX raffinates. Thus it is possible to separate these elements from the minor actinide Am(III). Although some masking agents have previously been developed that retard the extraction of Pd(II), this is the first time a masking agent has been developed for Ni(II).

Chiral Recognition Among Trisdiimine - Metal Complexes: 1. Structures of Tris-(3,3'-bi-1,2,4-triazine)iron(II) Complexes

Breu, J.,Range, K.-J.,Herdtweck, E.

, p. 119 - 140 (2007/10/02)

By cyclo-condensation of β-diketones with oxamiddihydrazone 3,3'-bi-triazines with different substituents in 5,5'-, 6,6'-position and their corresponding iron(II)-trischelates were synthesized. The structures of the complexes tris-(3,3'-bi-1,2,4-triazine, 5,5'6,6'-tetramethyl)iron(II) ditetrachloroferrate(III) and tris-(3,3'-bi-1,2,4-triazine, 5,5'6,6'-tetraphenyl)iron(II) ditetrachloroferrate(III) could be solved by means of single crystal X-ray-analysis.Both complexes crystallize from racemic solutions in an enantiomorphic space group (P213 and P212121 respectively) with one molecule in the asymmetric unit, i.e. the rare phenomenon of spontaneous resolution by crystallization is observed.Hence, homochiral intermolecular interactions are strongly preferred over heterochiral ones. - Keywords.Chiral recognition; Chiral discrimination; Spontaneous resolution; Trisdiimine complexes; 3,3'-Bi-triazines; Crystal structures.
