946387-07-1 Usage
Uses
Different sources of media describe the Uses of 946387-07-1 differently. You can refer to the following data:
1. RN 1734 is a novel TRPV4 modulator.
2. RN-1734 has been used as a transient receptor potential vanilloid 4 (TRPV4) blocker to study its effects on differentiation of a corneal epithelial cell model, RCE1(5T5) cells.
General Description
A cell-permeable benzenesulfonamide compound that acts as a selective TRPV4 antagonist and inhibits TRPV4 agonist 4α-PDD- (Cat. No. 524394) stimulated Ca2+ influx (IC50 = 2.3, 3.2 and 5.9 μM, respectively, in HEK293 expressing human, rat, or mouse TRPV4) without affecting the activity of three other human TRP (transient receptor potential) channels, including capsaicin- (Cat. No. 211275) activated TRPV1, camphor-activated TRPV3, and methanol-activated TRPM8 (IC50 >30 μM).
Biological Activity
Selective TRPV4 antagonist (IC 50 values are 2.3, 5.9 and 3.2 μ M for hTRPV4, mTRPV4 and rTRPV4 receptors respectively). Displays selectivity for over other TRP channels (IC 50 values are 2.3, >30, >30 and >100 μ M for TRPV4, TRPV3, TRPM8 and TRPV1 respectively).
Biochem/physiol Actions
RN-1734 is a selective TRPV4 antagonist.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 946387-07-1 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 9,4,6,3,8 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 946387-07:
(8*9)+(7*4)+(6*6)+(5*3)+(4*8)+(3*7)+(2*0)+(1*7)=211
211 % 10 = 1
So 946387-07-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
