A new bicopper (II) complex [Cu2L2Cl 2·H2O, H2 L = C6H 5-CH(OH)CH(CH3)N=CH(C6H5-2-OH)], has been synthesized by Schiff base condensation of phenylpropanolamine with salicylaldehyde in the presence of Cu2+. The crystal of the complex was characterized by X-ray diffraction, IR, ES-MS spectroscopy, molar conductivity and elemental analyses. Antimicrobial activity study found that the complex was active against Candida albican, Bacillus pumilus and Bacillus coliforms. Copyright
