(3-Diethoxyphosphoryl-1-propenyl)triphenylphosphonium bromide (1b) was synthesized and reacted with aldehydes to form 1-hetero-substituted butadienes 3.With 2-pyrrolecarbaldehyde the 3H-pyrrolizines 4b, 5b substituted in position 3 or 5 were obtained in a Schweizer-type multi-step reaction.
