96574-01-5 Usage
Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
Salvianolic acid is used as a cardioprotective and chemopreventative agent for its ability to reduce leukocyte-endothelial adherence, inhibit inflammation and matrix metalloproteinases, suppress apoptosis, and reduce lipid peroxidation in damaged cardiac tissue.
Used in Antioxidant Applications:
Salvianolic acid A (Sal A) and salvianolic acid B (Sal B) are used as antioxidants for their high total antioxidant activities, with EC50 values of 1.35 ± 0.00 and 1.43 ± 0.01 μg/mL, respectively.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Salvianolic acid A is cell protective antioxidant originally isolated from Salvia. It has been found to attenuate PDGF-induced ROS formation in hepatic stellate cells and protected against isoproterenol-induced myocardial damage in rats.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 96574-01-5 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,6,5,7 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 96574-01:
(7*9)+(6*6)+(5*5)+(4*7)+(3*4)+(2*0)+(1*1)=165
165 % 10 = 5
So 96574-01-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
