The reactions of 2-methyl-1,2,3-triazinium iodides and related compounds

, p. 2283 - 2286 (2007/10/02)
The 2-methyl-1,2,3-triazinium iodides 2 reacted with various nucleophiles to give the corresponding 2,5-dihydroadducts. When 2 was treated with potassium superoxide, it was dimerized to 5,5'-bi(2-methyl-2,5-dihydrotriazinyl). The 2,5-dihydro-1,2,3-triazin
Redox properties of superoxide with 1,2,3-triazine derivatives
Itoh,Nagata,Okada,Ohsawa
, p. 7193 - 7196 (2007/10/02)
2-Methyl-1,2,3-triazinium iodide 1 and its dihydro derivative 2 were both allowed to react with potassium superoxide to give the same products, triazine dimer 3 and 5-oxo-triazine 4. These reactions showed the unique dual reactivities of superoxide.

, p. 1073 - 1074 (2007/10/02)
Diphenylcyclopropenone gave aminodiphenylcyclopropenium fluorosulfate (3) by ethylation with ethyl fluorosulfate, followed by treating with secondary amine in one-pot operation. The salt 3 reacted with sodium azide to afford 1,2,3-triazine in a good yield.
