97599-21-8 Usage
Uses
Used in Research Applications:
HUMAN IL-1BETA is used as a research tool for studying the effects of proand anti-inflammatory mediators on leukotriene B4 and C4 synthesis and secretion in inflamed tissues, such as the porcine endometrium. This helps in understanding the role of cytokines in inflammation and immune responses.
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
HUMAN IL-1BETA is used as a target for the development of anti-inflammatory drugs and therapies. By inhibiting the activity of IL-1BETA, these drugs can help in reducing inflammation and treating various inflammatory disorders.
Used in Diagnostic Applications:
HUMAN IL-1BETA can be used as a biomarker for monitoring inflammation and immune responses in various diseases and conditions. Elevated levels of IL-1BETA can indicate the presence of an inflammatory process, which can be useful for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Used in Cell Biology Research:
HUMAN IL-1BETA is used in cell biology research to study the signaling pathways and cellular responses involved in inflammation and immune responses. This can help in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying these processes and identifying potential therapeutic targets.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Both IL-1α (interleukin 1 α) and IL-1β binds to the same receptor and has similar if not identical biological properties. These cytokines have a broad range of activities including, stimulation of thymocyte proliferation, by inducing IL-2 release, B-cell maturation and proliferation, mitogenic FGF (fibroblast growth factor)-like activity and the ability to stimulate the release of prostaglandin and collagenase from synovial cells. However, whereas IL-1β is a secreted cytokine, IL-1α is predominantly a cell-associated cytokine. IL-1β is involved in proinflammatory and immunological responses. Some of them include enhancing IL-2 generation, and increasing circulating NO (nitric oxide) and bringing neutrophils. It also regulates gene expression of inflammatory cytokines, mesenchymal growth factors and colony stimulating factors. IL-1β is present in chronic inflamed tissues and also in tissues going for fibrogenesis. It brings neutrophil and macrophage to the site of infection. Mutations in IL-1β gene are linked with renal manifestations and renal sequelae in Henoch-Sch?nlein purpura. It is also associated with destruction of β-cell in type 1 diabetes.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 97599-21-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,7,5,9 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 97599-21:
(7*9)+(6*7)+(5*5)+(4*9)+(3*9)+(2*2)+(1*1)=198
198 % 10 = 8
So 97599-21-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
