About us

Elekeiroz SA is a Publicly-traded company, controlled by the holding company Itaúsa – Investimentos Itaú SA and, considering the segment in which it operates, stands as the largest Brazilian producer of chemical intermediates for industrial use. In South America, it is the only integrated producer of Oxo Alcohols (2-Ethylhexanol, n-Butanol, Isobutanol) and 2-Ethyl Hexanoic Acid, Phthalic and Maleic Anhydrides, and several types of Plasticizers, being the largest manufacturer in Brazil for this latter chemical. Add Urea Formaldehyde Concentrate, Fumaric Acid and Polyester Resins to these intermediates to fulfill the Company’s entire segment of organic products. Completing the portfolio, the Company also produces an inorganic chemical. The current position is the result of 115 years of existence, marked by pioneering attitudes in the Brazilian chemical industry history. Over the time, the Company has diversified and expanded its product line in response to the demands of the industrial development process in Brazil.
