About us

The name Blackwell has been associated with the metal, mineral & chemical industry for over 140 years. We supply a comprehensive range of quality metals, alloys, chemicals & minerals to companies spanning a wide variety of industries across the globe. Providing a personal service to customers, we not only supply the raw materials mentioned above but also offer specialised services such as packing, grinding, blending and storage. The company represents a number of British and overseas producers of metals and chemicals. We also buy and treat spent catalysts and other residues and arisings, in order to reclaim the metal contents, such as Nickel, Cobalt & Vanadium. Needless to say, this type of work is undertaken only with due recognition for the needs of the environment. S+A Blackwell was formed in 1972, following the takeover of the Blackwell family business, which had been founded in 1869 by Simon and Andrew's great-grandfather.
