physical and chemical properties:
pure product is a white crystal, m.p. 90-91.technical product, m.p. 70-80, d4201.35. soluble in water and polar solvents such as methanol, ethanol, acetone and dichloromethane, dichloroethane and so on, slightly soluble in xylene , and ether. it is stable in acidic medium, however, it hydrolyzes easily in alkaline solution.
toxicity:
acute oral ld50 of technical product to rats is 945 mg/kg, acute dermal ld50 to mouse is 714 mg/kg, acute dermal ld50 to rabbits is 2000mg/kg. no records of teratogenicity, metagenicity, carcinogenicity and chronic toxicity. to fish, animal, bird, it's low toxic.
