properties :
the primary phase of magnesium titanate in the ceramics is of the spinel structure. the relative permittivity of the ceramics is roughly 20 and its tagent of dialectric loss angle is about (1∼3)×10-4.
production:
it is made by calcining the major materials of titanium dioxide and magnesite mixed with a little amount of clayloam and fluorite, which is used to improve the sintering of the mixture, in the presence of oxygen under the temperature ranging from 1400°c to 1470°c. by adjusting the ratio between magnesium and titanium, can the temperature coefficient of the dielectric constant of the magnesium titanate reach up to almost zero. such magnesium titanate is widely used to manufacture temperature-compensating ceramics capacitors and microwave dialectric resonator.
