potassium formate usage and synthesis

physical and chemical properties	it is colorless transparent liquid or white solid, it easily absorbs moisture, it has reduction, it can react with strong oxidizers, density is 1.9100g /cm3, it is soluble in water, specific gravity of saturated solution is 1.58 g /cm3, it is non-toxic and non-corrosive. potassium formate can be synthesized by heating carbon monoxide and potassium hydroxide, further acidification and distillation can obtain formic acid. figure 1 the structural formula of potassium formate the above information is edited by the chemicalbook of wang xiaodong.
