Recently, three folk organizations in China have shown that the Apple Inc has failed in protecting the environment, maintaining the physical health of the employees and respecting the legal rights and benefits. Nowadays, the multinational companies should strictly strengthen the regulations of the supply chain and explain the environmental pollution to the public. However, the Apple Inc keeps silent. 

The three organizations have published a research report named as “another image of Apple” in Beijing. The report indicates the focuses including pollution, violation and poisoning. What’s more, it shows more than 10 accidents caused by the company so as to prove the behaviors of polluting the environment, violating the occupational safety and threatening the legal benefits of the employees.

Mr. Ma, One operator of the report, thinks that the company has seriously violated the promises made by itself in regard to environmental protection, professional health and legal rights and benefits. In fact, Mr. Ma has observed the company for one year. He has established a database to collect the environmental records of violating laws and rules of the national companies including the popular brands like Apple, Nokia and Haier. He hopes that he can get good communication with these companies so as to actively improve the existing problems. However, the Apple Inc always keeps silent.

The research has been originated when the poisoning of hexane took place in 2009. In 2009, many employees in United Win Technology Limited have been attacked by weariness and ache. In fact, they have been seriously polluted by hexane. At that time, the company was making use of hexane to clean the screens of mobile phones. Hexane is a kind of chemical solvent without any color. The frequent contacts with the substance can cause various symptoms of chronic poisoning among people. Even death can be caused.

When Mr. Ma pays attention to the accident, he finds out that the pollution of heavy metals of the IT industry is more serious than people can imagine. Various companies have contact with him to improve the situation. Apple does not make any response at all. It has made various regulations to protect the rights and benefits of its employees and the whole society. But it fails to respect these regulations. As a famous multinational company, it should actively correct the present attitude and improve the existing problems so as to maintain its good image and respectable international fame.
