Such solutions contain combined nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, sulfur, and magnesium, together with traces of iron, boron, zinc, and copper. They are extensively used for commercial growing of flowers and vegetables, particularly on islands, and also to some extent for house plants.
