zation are of a complex nature; that is, they contain
molybdenum in the form of complexes and clusters
bound to the structure of the support and in the form
of metal nanoparticles in the pores of the support.
Variations in the parameters of immobilization of
metal carbonyl make it possible to control the amount
of the deposited metal and the degree of agglomera-
tion of carbonyl clusters into nanoparticles. The syn-
thesized materials exhibit high activity in the hydroge-
nation of aromatic hydrocarbons. It has been shown
that the highest conversions are achieved in a tem-
perature range of 350–420°C using hexadecane as a
solvent. The most active catalyst is PAF-20–Mo(B)
because it contains the highest amount of molybde-
num of all the synthesized materials.
