Production method of this chemical: The Silane, (3-chloropropyl)methoxydimethyl- could be obtained by the reactants of (3-chloro-propyl)-trimethoxy-silane and methylmagnesium bromide. This reaction needs the solvent of diethyl ether. The yield is 95 %.

Uses of this chemical: The Silane, (3-chloropropyl)methoxydimethyl- could react with (4-dimethylamino-phenyl)-magnesium bromide, and obtain the {4-[(3-chloro-propyl)-dimethyl-silanyl]-phenyl}-dimethyl-amine. This reaction needs the solvent of tetrahydrofuran. The yield is 65 %.
