This reaction needs the catalyst of activated Ni, and the solvent of tetrahydrofuran. The yield is 92 %. In addition, this reaction should be taken at the temperature of 20-25 °C.

Uses of this chemical: The hexyl-methyl-silane could be obtained by the Silane, dichlorohexylmethyl-. This reaction needs the reagent of LiAlH4, and the solvent of diethyl ether. The yield is 82 %. In addition, this reaction should be taken for 2 hours.
