Preparation of Sodium tungstate, dihydrate. Firstly, the wolframite is crushed to 320 mesh, and reacts with 30% sodium hydroxide. Then the reaction mixture reacts with calcium chloride, hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide by turns to obtain sodium tungstate. At last, product is obtained after evaporation, crystallization, centrifugal dewatering and drying.

(1) MnWO4·FeWO4+4NaOH→2NaWO4+Fe(OH)2·Mb(OH)2
(2) NaWO4+CaCl2→CaWO4+2NaCl
(3) CaWO4+2HCl→CaCl2+H2WO4
(4)H2WO4+2NaOH→Na2WO4·2H2O

Uses of Sodium tungstate, dihydrate: it is used for manufacturing tungsten, tungsten acid and tungsten salts. It's also used as mordant, pigment, catalyst, fire retardant fabric, chemical reagent and inhibitor.
