An addnl. fraction was obtained contg. 87.7% I and 11.3% 2-propyl-4-methyl-1-hexanol [66256-62-0]. I was used to prep. bis(2-propylheptyl) phthalate [53306-54-0] which, when evaluated at 40% in PVC [9002-86-2] had low temp. flexibility comparable to DOP and improved volatility. .
