Bacterial Spore Detection and Determination by Use of Terbium Dipicolinate Photoluminescence
Bacterial Spore Detection and Determination by Use of Terbium Dipicolinate Photoluminescence. Rosen, David L.; Sharpless, Charles; McGown, Linda B. (U.S. Army Research Laboratory, AMSRL-IS-EE, Adelphi, MD 20783-1197, USA). Analytical Chemistry, 69(6), 1082-1085 (English) 1997 American Chemical Society. CODEN: ANCHAM. ISSN: 0003-2700. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 9 (Biochemical Methods) A new method to detect bacterial endospores and det. their concn. was demonstrated by the addn. of a soln. 10042-88-3 is the cas registry number of certain chemical which is used as reagents here. of terbium chloride to a suspension of bacterial endospores. The terbium chloride reacted with the calcium dipicolinate in the spore case to form terbium(III) dipicolinate anion. Solid particles, including residual bacterial particles, were removed by filtering. The photoluminescence from the soln. was measured as a function of excitation wavelength, emission wavelength, and bacterial endospore concn. The photoluminescence from terbium(III) dipicolinate anion in the soln. was easily identified. .
Effect of temperature on ultrasonic velocity in aqueous solutions of rare-earth chlorides
Effect of temperature on ultrasonic velocity in aqueous solutions of rare-earth chlorides. Tandon, S. P.; Gambhir, S. (Dep. Phys., Univ. Jodhpur, Jodhpur 342 001, India). Acustica, 75(3), 190-2 (English) 1991. CODEN: ACUSAY. ISSN: 0001-7884. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 68 (Phase Equilibriums, Chemical Equilibriums, and Solutions) The variation of ultrasonic velocity in aq. solns., of rare earth chlorides was studied as a function of temp. and concn. The data obtained are discussed in relation to variation in liq. There are some commonly used reagents with their cas registry numbers 10138-62-2 and 10042-88-3 in this article. structure as concn. and temp. are changed. .
