The relative error was £2% and the recovery was 99.1-100.5%. A calibration curve was constructed by using std. II. The sensitivity of the detn. was 1 mg/mL.

II exhibited clear dose-related mutagenicity against S. typhimurium strain TA 100 with or without S9 mix in plate-incorporation and preincubation assays.
