Solid solns. of the minerals were assumed to be binary regular solns. Isotherms are reasonably explained by the following parameters: Wil = -1. 7439-89-6 and 12168-52-4 are also in the experiment.779T + 8242(J/mol), Wsp = -1.53T + 6142(J/mol), and dG(1) = 2.747T-7632(J), where Wil and dG(1) represent the Fe-Mg interaction parameter in phase il and Gibbs free energy of the exchange reaction (1), MgTiO3 + FeAl2O4 = FeTiO3 + MgAl2O4, resp., at a given temp. and pressure when reaction occurs between end-member minerals, resp. Abs. values of the thermodn. parameters obtained may deviate from the true ones, but these parameters provide a il-sp geothermometer having an accuracy of ±35°. .
