Fe2O3, Fe2O3 + Cr2O3, Fe2O3-Cr2O3-ZnO, or CoO + Cr2O3 at 400° and space velocity 360-720 h -1 under pressure 2.5-7.5 MPa results mainly in the formation of C7-9 arom. hydrocarbons, m- and p-xylenes and pseudocumene [95-63-6] being predominant. Catalysts contg. Cr2O3 yield less PhMe [108-88-3] and more C9 arom. 1314-13-2 and 108-88-3 are just another two chemicals used in this study. hydrocarbons than catalysts without it. .

- High green strength emulsion rubbers by the use of half esters of unsaturated dicarboxylic acids. Jalics, George (Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. , USA). Eur. Pat. Appl. EP 95996 A2 7 Dec 1983, 21 pp. DESIGNATED STATES: R: DE, FR, GB, IT. (English). (European Patent Organization). CODEN: EPXXDW. CLASS: IC: C08F236-04; C07C069-593. APPLICATION: EP 83-630090 20 May 1983. PRIORITY: US 82-382543 27 May 1982. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 39 (Synthetic Elastomers and Natural Rubber) Section cross-reference(s): 23 A process for improving green strength of emulsion polymn. There are some reagents with their cas registry numbers 1314-13-2 and 7423-42-9 are used in this study. rubbers comprises copolymg. a monomer or monomers with 1-10 wt. parts per 100 parts monomer of dicarboxylic acid deriv. and compounding the copolymer with 1-5 parts of a divalent metallic compd. selected from the group of Zn, Mg, and Ca, wherein the deriv. is a half ester or a half amide. Thus, mono(2-ethylhexyl) maleate (I) [7423-42-9] was prepd. by esterification of maleic anhydride with 2-ethylhexanol at 140°. A butadiene-I copolymer was prepd. by copolymn. of 95.00 wt. parts butadiene with 5.0 wt. parts I in an aq. soln. in presence of catalysts and surfactants at 10°. The butadiene-I copolymer was compounded with carbon black 50, tackifier 4.75, processing oil 17.25, stearic acid .50, and ZnO 3. The compounded copolymer had 100% modulus 89-104 psi, 300% modulus 161-182 psi, 500% modulus 220-237 psi, strength to break 218-280 psi, and elongation to break 450-720%, compared with 44-54, 36-72, 83-102, 117-165, and 740-980, resp., for a control contg. 0% I. .
