- Matrix polycondensation through hydrogen bonding interaction. Ogata, Naoya; Sanui, Kohei; Iwaki, Fusako; Nomiyama, Atsuko (Dep. Chem., Sophia Univ., Tokyo 102, Japan). J. Polym. Sci., Polym. Chem. Ed., 22(3), 793-800 (English) 1984. CODEN: JPLCAT. ISSN: 0449-296X. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 35 (Chemistry of Synthetic High Polymers) Section cross-reference(s): 67 Polycondensation of diesters having OH or pyridine groups was carried out with hexamethylenediamine (I) [124-09-4] in the presence of vinyl acetate-vinyl alc. copolymers (II) [25213-24-5] as a matrix polymer. Apparent rates of the polycondensation of di-Me tartrate (III) [608-68-4] with I increased with increasing contents of poly(vinyl alc. There are some commonly used reagents with their cas registry numbers 9002-89-5 and 25014-41-9 in this article.) [9002-89-5] units in the copolymers and a strong entanglement between growing polyamide chains and II took place through the adsorption of I and III on II. Di-Me pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate [5453-67-8] reacted with I in the presence of II or polysaccharide, but the rate enhancement effect of the matrix polymers was not significantly obsd., as in the case of III. The effect of the matrix polymers on the polycondensation was discussed in terms of H-bonding interactions. .

- Printable release coating composition tapes. Puskadi, Frank (Permacel, USA). U.S.In this study, 56275-19-5 and 9010-76-8 are also used. US 4424244 A 3 Jan 1984, 6 pp. (English). (United States of America). CODEN: USXXAM. CLASS: IC: B32B025-06; C08F019-08; C09J007-02. NCL: 428040000. APPLICATION: US 81-307399 1 Oct 1981. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 42 (Coatings, Inks, and Related Products) Section cross-reference(s): 39 A printable release coating compn., having a combination of good release, ink retention, adhesion, and tack and no backsize splitting, for high-adhesion, pressure-sensitive adhesive tape comprises (a) 85-15 wt. parts acrylonitrile-vinylidene chloride copolymer (I) [9010-76-8], (b) 15-85 wt. parts polymer selected from the group consisting of vinyl acetate-vinyl alc.-vinyl chloride copolymer (II) [25086-48-0], vinyl acetate-vinyl alc. copolymer (III) [25213-24-5], and solvent-sol. copolyester, and (c) for every 100 parts of a and b 17.5-55 wt. parts of a copolymer of vinyl ester-C16-alkyl maleate copolymer. Thus, release compns. comprising I 5-8, II 0-5, III 0-5, Vitel 307 [74389-49-4] 0-2, Gelva C-254 [27359-53-1] 2.5, and MeCOEt solvent 237.1 wt. parts were mixed, applied to a 1-mil polyester film, dried, and fluxed at 250° F to provide a backsize-coated film. The opposite surface was coated with a Kraton 1107-tackifier resin adhesive in PhMe, dried, and fluxed at 180-280° F. The adhesive and backsize-coated films were slit into tapes, printed with a printing logo using Gotham Black Propalin Ink No. 19-579, wound into rolls, and stored at ambient temp. or at 120° F for 7 days. The tape employing backsize compn. exhibited useful combination of properties in adhesion, tack, unwind, ink transfer, and no backsize splitting, whereas compns. comprising I and Gelva C-254 had one or more defective properties. .
