Polybutadiene
Polybutadiene. (Japan Synthetic Rubber Co., Ltd.Several substances are used for example 109-72-8 which is its cas registry number., Japan). Jpn. Kokai Tokkyo Koho JP 59170107 A2 26 Sep 1984 Showa, 6 pp. (Japanese). (Japan). CODEN: JKXXAF. CLASS: IC: C08F036-06; C08F002-06; C08F004-48. 109-72-8 which is the cas registry number of some chemical is mentioned. APPLICATION: JP 83-44490 18 Mar 1983. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 39 (Synthetic Elastomers and Natural Rubber) A mixt. of 1,3-butadiene (I) and a hydrocaron solvent was treated at -10° to +50° with an org. Li compd. in the presence of 0.1-1.0 mol (/g Li) 1,2-butadiene (II) and 0.01-0.5 mol anionic surfactant having SO3R or OSO3R group (R = K, Na) and then polymd. at 60-90° to obtain polybutadiene with improved processability and resiliency. Thus, 5.0 kg/h cyclohexane and 1.0 kg/h I contg. II were contacted at 10° for 10 s with 1.1 mol (/100 g monomer) BuLi [109-72-8] and 0.1 mol (/g Li) K dodecylbenzenesulfonate [27177-77-1] (II content 0.41 mol/g Li) and then polymd. at 75° to obtain a gel-free polymer. ..
Butadiene-styrene rubber having improved abrasion resistance and reduced heat buildup
Butadiene-styrene rubber having improved abrasion resistance and reduced heat buildup. Shimokawa, Shinichi; Oshima, Noboru (Japan Synthetic Rubber Co., Ltd., Japan). Japan. Kokai JP 53069288 20 Jun 1978 Showa, 9 pp. (Japanese). (Japan). CODEN: JKXXAF. CLASS: IC: C08F036-04. APPLICATION: JP 76-145269 3 Dec 1976. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 38 (Elastomers, Including Natural Rubber) Conjugated dienes and arom. vinyl compds. are copolymd. in hydrocarbon solvents contg. organolithium, sulfate or sulfonate group-contg. anionic surfactants, and 1,2-alkadienes to give rubber having good abrasion resistance and low heat buildup. Thus, styrene (I) 450, butadiene 2550, cyclohexane 10,000, BuLi [109-72-8] 0.99, K dodecylbenzenesulfonate [27177-77-1] 0.792, and 1,2-butadiene (II) [590-19-2] 0.63 g/h were charged to a 3.1-L reactor at 70° (jacket temp.) to give SBR contg. 28% (based on I units) of short I blocks. A compn. of the rubber extended with 37.5 phr arom. oil 137.5, carbon black 68.8, ZnO 4, stearic acid 2, antioxidant 1.5, vulcanization accelerator 1.4, and S 2 parts was vulcanized 40 min at 145° to give test pieces having JIS hardness 63, tensile strength 195 kg/cm2, elongation 490%, abrasion resistance 110, tear strength 37 kg/cm, and heat buildup 20°, compared with 62, 172, 240, 94, 36, and 23, resp., for similar test pieces of rubber prepd. in the presence of 0.12 part 1,4-dihydronaphthalene in place of II.
