Compd. I·II showed low toxicity (LD50 > 5000 mg/kg) and absence of cardiodepressive effect. Compd. I·II was prepd. by interaction of 5-hydroxynicotinic acid with 3-amino-1-propanol. For instance, introduction of compd. I·II 5 min after a coronary artery occlusion occurred improved a blood flow through the area affected by myocardial ischemia, stabilized the av. arterial pressure (AAP) and heart-beat frequency (HBF) [15 min after coronary artery occlusion occurred AAP increased by 4% and HBF by 2%]. .
