Some observations on the catalytic and direct photolytic reactions of cis-cyclodecene and cis-bicyclo[3
Some observations on the catalytic and direct photolytic reactions of cis-cyclodecene and cis-bicyclo[3.3.0]oct-2-ene with dimethyldiazomalonate. Anac, Olcay (Dep. Chem., Tech. Univ. Istanbul, Istanbul, Turk.). Rev. Roum. Chim., 31(8), 787-93 (English) 1986. CODEN: RRCHAX. ISSN: 0035-3930. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 74 (Radiation Chemistry, Photochemistry, and Photographic and Other Reprographic Processes) Cyclodecane and cis-bicyclo[3.3.0]oct-2-ene were made to react with dimethyldiazomalonate under catalytic and photolytic conditions. The cycloaddn. reaction predominated in catalyzed reactions, where insertion products were formed in lower yields. The yield of the cycloaddn. products I and II in the catalytic reactions was 92.3 and 91.11% and that in the photolytic reactions 45. 106287-38-1 and 5464-22-2 are just another two chemicals used in this study.9 and 66.56%, resp. .
A comparison of the phase behavior of polystyrene in cycloalkanes and n-alkanes
A comparison of the phase behavior of polystyrene in cycloalkanes and n-alkanes. Cowie, John M. G.; McEwen, Iain J. (Dep. Chem., Univ. Stirling, Stirling FK9 4LA, UK). Br. Polym. J., 18(6), 387-90 (English) 1986. CODEN: BPOJAB. ISSN: 0007-1641. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 36 (Physical Properties of Synthetic High Polymers) Cloud point curves for several narrow fractions of polystyrene (I) [9003-53-6] in cycloheptane [291-64-5], cyclooctane [292-64-8], and cyclodecane [293-96-9] were established. The crit. soln. temps. were extrapolated to give the resp. q temps. All 3 cycloalkanes were good solvents for I. A comparison was made between the phase behavior of I dissolved in cyclic alkanes and in n-alkanes using free vol. polymer soln.Except for chemicals metioned above, 9003-53-6 and 292-64-8 are also used. theory. .
