DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 64 (Pharmaceutical Analysis) Thioridazine (I) [50-52-2] was detd. in tablets by way of the H2O-insol. complexes formed with Reinecke's salt [13573-16-5], K tetraisothiocyanato diureachromate (III) [28511-44-6], or anilinium tetraisothiocyanatodianilinochromate (III) [39697-38-6]. The complexes can be weighed for gravimetry, digested with 1N KOH, acidified, mixed with ferric alum and AgNO3, and titrated with 0.05N KSCN. The ppts. can be dissolved in Me2CO for measurement of the absorbance at 525 nm. The error was £0.68% for gravimetry and £1.40% for titrn. .
