DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 1 (Pharmacology) Trimetazidine (I) [5011-34-7] added to a suspension contg. human blood platelets inhibited dose-dependently the platelet aggregation from ADP, collagen, epinephrine, etc. I did not affect the formation of cAMP in the blood platelet which had been treated with the aggregation-inducer ADP. Neither did it affect the formation of thromboxane A2 in the platelets. Since I inhibited the platelet aggregation induced of Ca ionophore A-23187, the inhibition seems to involve the inhibition of Ca mobilization.
