Polymerization of fluoropolymers using alkyl phosphonate surfactants
All Rights Reserved. Polymerization of fluoropolymers using alkyl phosphonate surfactants. Durali, Mehdi; Hedhli, Lotfi; Wille, Roice (USA ). U.S. Pat. Appl. Publ. US 2007032591 A1 8 Feb 2007,6pp. (English). (United States of America). CODEN: USXXCO. INCL: 524544000; 526250000; 526255000; 526249000. APPLICATION: US 2006-499552 4 Aug 2006. PRIORITY: US 2005-706463P 8 Aug 2005.There are some commonly used reagents with their cas registry numbers 5137-70-2 and 7727-21-1 in this article. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 35 (Chemistry of Synthetic High Polymers) The present invention relates to a method for the polymn. of fluoromonomers using non-fluorinated alkyl phosphonate surfactants, and to the fluoropolymers formed thereby. Specifically, the method of the polymn. uses one or more alkyl phosphonic acids or salts thereof. .
Selective Surface Modification of SiO2-TiO2 Supports with Phosphonic Acids
Selective Surface Modification of SiO2-TiO2 Supports with Phosphonic Acids. Mutin, P. Hubert; Lafond, Vincent; Popa, Aurelian F.; Granier, Michel; Markey, Laurent; Dereux, Alain (Chimie Moleculaire et Organisation du Solide, UMR CNRS 5637, Universite Montpellier 2, Montpellier 34095, Fr.). Chemistry of Materials, 16(26), 5670-5675 (English) 2004 American Chemical Society. CODEN: CMATEX. ISSN: 0897-4756. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 66 (Surface Chemistry and Colloids) The selective surface modification by phosphonic acids of SiO2-TiO2 supports at the micrometer and mol. scale was investigated. Under aq. conditions, phosphonic acids bind to TiO2 and not to SiO2 surfaces. A micropatterned support was prepd. by electron beam microlithog. and selectivity, of the surface modification was evidenced using scanning Auger electron spectroscopy (SAES). The second support was a mesoporous SiO2-TiO2 mixed oxide (10 mol % Ti) epoxidn. 5137-70-2 and 1571-33-1 are also in the experiment. catalyst prepd. by sol-gel processing. Selectivity was deduced from the decrease of the catalytic activity upon modification and from chem. anal.; bonding modes to the surface were investigated using solid-state 29Si and 31P MAS NMR. The possibility to introduce different org. groups by successive treatments with a phosphonic acid and a silylating agent was illustrated in the case of the mixed oxide. .
