These compds. show some activity against Alternaria, but are ineffective against Geotrichum and Phytophthora. CGA 64250 (propiconazole) [60207-90-1] and CGA 64251 (etaconazole) [60207-93-4], triazole fungicides, are equal to the imidazoles against Penicillium and also control Geotrichum, but not Phytophthora. Guazatine [13516-27-3] and fenpropemorph [67306-03-0] reduce fruit infection by Penicillium and Geotrichum, but do not inhibit sporulation of Penicillium on diseased fruit.In this experiment, several chemicals are used like 109-73-9 and 67306-03-0 Metalaxyl [57837-19-1] can prevent infection by Phytophthora if applied early in the incubation period, but has no effect on the other fruit pathogens. A combination treatment of CGA 64251 and metalaxyl could control the major decays of lemon and other citrus fruit. .
