Effects of auxins and antiauxins on the neoformation of cauliflower buds (Brassica oleracea L., var botrytis) in vitro. Margara, Jacques (Lab. Morphog. Exp., Inst. Natl. Rech. Agron., Versailles, Fr.). C. R. Hebd. Seances Acad. Sci., Ser. D, 284(19), 1883-5 (French) 1977. CODEN: CHDDAT. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemicals) Section cross-reference(s): 11 IBA [133-32-4], indolylpropionic acid [830-96-6], and naphthaleneacetic acid [86-87-3] induced at 5 .times. 10-6M bud neoformation in cauliflower head explants. IAA [87-51-4] and phenylacetic acid [103-82-2] had a similar, but less pronounced effect, whereas 2,4-D [94-75-7] was moderately active at 5 .times. 10-7M. Traumatic acid [6402-36-4] (10-5M) was moderately active by itself, and potentiated the effect of IBA and phenylacetic acid. Gibberellic acid [77-06-5] potentiated the activity of IBA and naphthaleneacetic acid at 10-5M, and had the reverse effect at 10-3M.
Wound healing responses in monocotyledons
Wound healing responses in monocotyledons. II. Responses to chemical treatments. Swamy, B. G. L.; Swaramakrishna, D. (Dep. Bot., Presidency Coll., Madras, India). Phytomorphology, 25(3), 255-61 (English) 1975. CODEN: PHYMAW. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemicals) Artificially-wounded internodal tissues of Commelina benghalensis were treated with 0.1 or 1% IAA [87-51-4] in lanolin or aq. soln., or with 0.1% traumatic acid [6402-36-4] in lanolin or its K salt [65316-45-2] in aq. soln. All treatments reduced overall wound reaction. Similar treatment in wounds of Gloriosa superba enhanced the wound reaction.
