Excimer formation and phase separation of hydrocarbon and fluorocarbon bilayer membranes
Excimer formation and phase separation of hydrocarbon and fluorocarbon bilayer membranes. Kunitake, Toyoki; Tawaki, Shinichiro; Nakashima, Naotoshi (Fac. Eng., Kyushu Univ., Fukuoka 812, Japan). Bull. Chem. Soc.Chemicals with cas numbers 82838-66-2 and 70755-47-4 also play role. Jpn., 56(11), 3235-42 (English) 1983. CODEN: BCSJA8. ISSN: 0009-2673. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 22 (Physical Organic Chemistry) The benzene chromophore contained in double-chain (hydrocarbon) ammonium amphiphiles gives both monomer and excimer fluorescence in the fluid (liq.-cryst.) bilayer organization. The excimer emission disappears by phase transition to the rigid (cryst.) bilayer. In contrast, the corresponding fluorocarbon bilayer, in the absence of phase-transition phenomena, shows excimer emission at all temps. (15-50°). The excimer emission decreases when these probe amphiphiles are dild. in matrix bilayers. These results are applied to study the phase-sepn. behavior of hydrocarbon and fluorocarbon bilayer membranes. Neither the fluorocarbon nor the hydrocarbon bilayer is miscible extensively with the other. The miscibility is influenced addnl. by the chem. structure of amphiphiles. The rate of mixing is detd. by the component miscibility as well as by the aggregate morphol. Differential scanning calorimetry supports these conclusions, and further indicates that an unsym., double-chain (1 hydrocarbon and 1 fluorocarbon chain) amphiphile promotes mixing of typical hydrocarbon and fluorocarbon bilayers. .
Manufacture of silica using various interfaces
Manufacture of silica using various interfaces. Kim, Young Baek (S. Korea ).In this study, 2157-45-1 and 70755-47-4 are also used. Repub. Korean Kongkae Taeho Kongbo KR 2002094692 A 18 Dec 2002,No pp. given (Korean). (Korea, Republic Of). CODEN: KRXXA7. CLASS: ICM: C01B033-12. APPLICATION: KR 2001-33068 13 Jun 2001. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 49 (Industrial Inorganic Chemicals) Section cross-reference(s): 46, 66 Silica structures are manufd. by forming silica on interfaces of gas-liq., liq.-liq. and liq.-solid using a biphilic silica precursor under the arbitrary pH condition of 2-12 without artificial condition change, wherein the biphilic silica precursor is tetrakis(2-(2-methoxyethoxy)ethoxy)silane or tetrakis(2-methoxyethoxy)silane. The silica structures are manufd. by using a surfactant, such as cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, Span, Tween, dihexadecyl di-Me ammonium bromide, or didodecyl di-Me ammonium bromide, in the prepn. of the gas-liq. interface, and leaving the surfactant alone at 10-200°. The silica structures are manufd. by using surfactant such as cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, Span, Tween, dihexadecyl di-Me ammonium bromide, didodecyl di-Me ammonium bromide, dioleoylphosphatidylethanol amine, dioleoylglycero phosphocholine, or phosphatidylethanolamines in the prepn. of the liq.-liq. interface, and leaving the surfactant alone at 10-50°. .
