Feasibility of incorporating the nitrogen-loss inhibitors dicyandiamide, thiourea, phenyl phosphorodiamidate, and potassium ethyl xanthate into granular urea
Feasibility of incorporating the nitrogen-loss inhibitors dicyandiamide, thiourea, phenyl phosphorodiamidate, and potassium ethyl xanthate into granular urea. Gautney, J.; Kim, Y. K.; Gagen, P. M. (Natl. Fertil. Dev. Cent., Muscle Shoals, AL, USA). Report, TVA/OACD-83/16; Order No. DE84900079, 28 pp. Avail. NTIS From: Energy Res. Abstr. 1983, 8(24), Abstr. No. 57463 (English) 1983. DOCUMENT TYPE: Report CA Section: 19 (Fertilizers, Soils, and Plant Nutrition) Lab. tests were conducted to det. the feasibility of incorporating the N-loss inhibitors dicyandiamide [461-58-5], thiourea [62-56-6], phenyl phosphorodiamidate [7450-69-3], and potassium Et xanthate [140-89-6] into granular urea [57-13-6]. Tests were made to det. the stabilities, solubilities, and dissoln. rates of the inhibitors in urea melts and urea solns.; to det. the effect of inhibitor addn. on the rate of wt. loss and qual. compn. of volatiles evolving from urea melts; to det. the m. 140-89-6 and 57-13-6 are just another two chemicals used in this study.p. diagrams for the urea-inhibitor systems; and to det. the heat of fusion for the urea-inhibitor mixts. .
Determination of phenylphosphorodiamidate in soil extracts and urea fertilizer solutions
Determination of phenylphosphorodiamidate in soil extracts and urea fertilizer solutions. Martens, D. A.; Bremner, J. M. (Dep. Agron., Iowa State Univ., Ames, IA 50011, USA). Commun. Soil Sci. Plant Anal., 14(10), 915-23 (English) 1983. CODEN: CSOSA2. 7450-69-3 is the cas registry number of certain chemical which is used as reagents here. ISSN: 0010-3624. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 19 (Fertilizers, Soils, and Plant Nutrition) Section cross-reference(s): 80 Phenylphosphorodiamidate (I) [7450-69-3] (urea hydrolysis retarder) was detd. colorimetrically following the chromogenic reaction with NaBO3 and benzidine. A linear relation existed in the 5-50 mg I/mL range between I concn. and absorbance. The max. color absorbance was at 420 nm. Recoveries of 99-101% were obtained for 25-50 mg I/mL. .
