A mixt. of 6 g I and 100 g epoxidized novolak (epoxide equiv. 175.5) was cured 2 h at 140° and 2 h at 180° to give a 4-mm thick molding with flexural strength (MPa) 92 initially, 103 after 30 days at 160° in air, and 69 after 30 days in water at 120° (water uptake = 2.2%).
