Only 1,5-polyenes with 33 double bonds crosslinked in a curing recipe with 2-benzothiazolyl-N-morpholyl disulfide (I) [95-32-9] or bis(dimethylthiocarbonyl) disulfide [137-26-8] vulcanizing agents. A suitable chem. model for BR was cyclohexadeca-1,5,9,13-tetraene (II) [23579-21-7]. 95-32-9 which is the cas registry number is also used here. The crosslink d. of II vulcanizates agreed well with the chem. 95-32-9 is the cas registry number of certain chemical which is used as reagents here. crosslink d. of similarly cured cis-BR. Various amts. of curative fragments attach to the BR structure, as exemplified by curing fragments attached to II. I vulcanizing agent divided into 3 fragments: 2-thiobenzothiazole, morpholyl, and thio groups, which attached in the network structure. The main crosslink structure was 85% bis(allylic) monosulfide and 15% bis(allylic) disulfide. Very little cis-trans isomerization occurred in the unreacted II as a result of vulcanization, however, extensive cis-trans isomerization occurred in crosslinked II, suggesting that cis-trans isomerization in BR vulcanizates was confined to the reaction sites of the BR mols. The insol. solid in the vulcanizate was a mixt. of cadmium bis(2-thiobenzothiazole) [14807-72-8], CdS, and morpholinium sulfate [22473-77-4]. The H transfer balance showed that II was the main H donor during crosslinking, and the morpholine group from I was the main H acceptor. ..
