It is soluble in water and organic solvents but insoluble in inorganic acid and alkali solutions. Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:Aluminium glycinate is used as an antacid for the treatment of peptic ulceration. It helps to neutralize stomach acid, providing relief from the symptoms associated with peptic ulcers and other acid-related gastrointestinal issues.
Used in Cosmetics and Skincare Industry:
Aluminium glycinate is used in the development of a transdermal hydrogel patch for ferulic acid to treat skin damage induced by UV radiation. The hydrogel patch delivers ferulic acid, a potent antioxidant, to the skin, helping to protect and repair the skin from the harmful effects of UV exposure.
Indications
Aluminum glycinate is a stomach acid neutralizer. It can neutralize gastric acid, reduce gastric acidity, reduce pepsin activity, improve upper abdominal pain and clinical symptoms caused by increased gastric acid, and has astringent and hemostasis effects.?Pharmaceutical Applications
Aluminium glycinate [Al(NH2CH2COO)(OH)2] is used in anti-acid formulations. For example, Gastralgine; contains, amongst other ingredients, dihydroxy aluminium glycinate [Al(NH2CH2COO)(OH)2], Al(OH)3, magnesium trisilicate and simethicone. It is known to have additionally protective effects from ulcers.Side effects
